About The Route
Hamsterley Forest is a 5,000 acre mixed woodland, open to the public all year. A magnet for mountain bikers from all over the North of England, it attracts a wide range of cycling experiences, from leisurely family rides and top quality off-road cycle trails to the high octane four-cross.
Young Cyclists & Family RoutesThe Blue Trail
Suitable for most skill levels. It is a figure of 8 shape so you can do the first loop (around 4 miles) or the whole thing (9 miles). You are also welcome to cycle on the forest roads which are not waymarked but are traffic free and a great place to develop your skills.The Hamsterley trailblazers
