If you have been following our socials you may have seen glimpses at the new shop we are opening up in Kielder Forest! And when we first took on this project, we gave the shop space a complete overhaul to give it that Team Cycles vibe. Here’s what we’ve been working on:
Building from Scratch
Walls have been knocked down to open up the space and create a more inviting and functional layout. We’ve also added new partition walls to define key areas for our workshop, retail displays, and bike hire facilities.
Fresh Paint, Fresh Vibes
A new coat of paint is bringing the place to life! We’ve carefully chosen colours that reflect the natural colours of Kielder Forest while keeping the shop bright, modern, and welcoming.
A Place for Every Cyclist
The shop layout is being designed with all types of cyclists in mind:
- Retail Zone: Showcasing bikes, accessories, and clothing tailored to the unique demands of Kielder’s trails and weather.
- Workshop: A fully-equipped space for repairs, servicing, and maintenance, offering everything from tune-ups to suspension servicing.
- Bike Hire Area: Featuring a range of hire bikes, from gravel bikes to mountain bikes, perfect for exploring the incredible trails right outside our door.
What’s Next?
We’re working hard , and the shop is shaping up great. Final touches, like shelving installation and stocking the space with bikes and gear, are just around the corner.
