If you're completely new to mountain biking or looking to progress onto more technical terrain, these sessions provide the perfect environment to learn, improve, and enjoy riding at Kielder.

Camp 1 - Beginner Mountain Bike Foundations
Saturday 9th May 2026
Perfect for riders who are new to mountain biking and want to build confidence in a controlled environment. This session is ideal for beginners riding flat, rolling trails and looking to develop core skills before progressing further.
The session focuses on basic mountain bike skills, bike handling, and confidence building, taking in sections of the blue trail including Lakeside Way and Osprey Trail.
Best suited to: Riders new to mountain biking who want to build confidence on flat, rolling trails.
Camp 2 - Intermediate Mountain Bike Trail Progression
Saturday 20th June 2026
Designed for riders who can already handle most of the red trails but would benefit from a bit of guidance to improve technique and confidence.
This session focuses on honing trail riding skills such as cornering, line choice, and control on more technical terrain. Trail sections may include Lonesome Pine and the new Deadwater trail.
Best suited to: Riders who can handle most red trails but want guidance to progress further.
Camp 3 - Advanced Mountain Bike Trail Session
Saturday 12th September 2026
Our advanced camp is aimed at experienced riders who are fully comfortable on red trails and are ready to take on black trails.
This session focuses on advanced trail riding techniques across red and black terrain, including sections of Lonesome Pine and Deadwater red and black trails.
Best suited to: Riders fully comfortable on red trails and looking to step up to black trails.
