Our bike hire centre puts you right at the heart of it. Whether you're a first-timer seeking a gentle lakeside ride or an experienced rider hunting technical singletrack, Kielder delivers. We provide the best bikes, the best kit, and local knowledge to make your ride extraordinary.

Pay 50% deposit.
Wait for confirmation email.
Sign waiver (email or in-store).
Bring ID: Photo ID matching booking name required on arrival.

Important. You must have your booking confirmation email to collect your bike.

Borderline

Following the former Border Counties railway line, this relatively flat and easy ride is suitable for all abilities.

Waymarked 1–2 hrs

Lakeside Way

A multi-user path offering access to the most scenic parts of the lake shore with the chance to spot Kielder's abundant wildlife.

Multi-use 3–5 hrs

Osprey Trail

Starting at Kielder Castle, head up the Forest Drive to sweeping singletrack along Kielder Burn and into the forest.

Singletrack 2–3 hrs

Lonesome Pine

Climb to Purdom Pike at over 1,000ft for breath-taking views of the North Tyne Valley, featuring England's longest timber fly-over.

Singletrack 2–3 hrs

Deadwater

Take in the 1,900ft summit of Deadwater Fell for sensational 360° coast-to-coast views before plummeting back to Kielder Castle.

The expert version of Deadwater Fell. Physically demanding singletrack packed with features for experienced riders only.

Bloody Bush

Combine with Lonesome Pine for 33km of red-grade riding. Singletrack to the Scottish border linking with routes into Scotland.
